SAU CONTINUES ITS SUCCESS

Sakarya University (SAU) continues its steady success in all areas. Being one of the best universities in Turkey, SAU continued its success in the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index too.

Ranking # 30 among Turkey’s top universities, Sakarya University has maintained its position according to “URAP Research Laboratory” of Middle East Technical University (METU) located in within the Informatics Institute. Sakarya University, which reached 535.79 points among 148 universities, increased its score from 513.55 last year. Sakarya University has risen from 70th to the 30th rank by increasing its score every year with its successful works in the last 4 years, thus became one of the best universities. Sakarya University ranks 26th among 102 state universities and 1365th in the world.

9 indicators as “the number of articles”, “the number of articles per faculty member”, “the number of references”, “the number of references per faculty member”, “the total number of scientific documents”, “the total number of scientific documents per faculty member”, “the number of doctoral students”, “the rate of doctoral students” and “the number of students per faculty member” were considered in URAP Turkey ranking which aims universities to see their performances and to improve themselves.

The most enterprising university

Sakarya University (SAU) has maintained its place in the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index published by TUBITAK every year. According to the ranking of the 50 most entrepreneurial and innovative universities in Turkey, Sakarya University became the 25th. Thus, SAU maintained its position in the ranking last year. Sakarya University ranks 18th among state universities in the list. When the state universities established after 1992 are taken into consideration, Sakarya University is in the 5th place. TUBITAK’s Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index scores universities on five different areas; ‘Scientific and Technological Research Competence ‘,’Intellectual Property Pool’, ’Cooperation and Interaction’, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation Culture’ and ‘Economic Contribution and Commercialization’ since 2012.
