Sakarya University leapt to 33rd place among 161 Turkish Universities in the ranking of METU URAP

According to the evaluation conducted by Middle East Technical University (METU) URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Laboratory, Sakarya University is ranked 33rd among 161 Turkish Universities.

URAP has published 2013 July academic performance ranking for private and state universities in Turkey. Sakarya University has moved 10 places and taken 33rd place.

The aim of URAP is to develop scientific methods for evaluating higher education institutions in the world based on their academic success and to announce the results to the public. The target of URAP is to help universities compare data gathered by the studies and universities’ academic performances with other universities and to help them notice the points which are open to improvement based on certain criteria.

URAP General Turkey Ranking is calculated using following indicators: number of articles, number of articles per faculty, number of citations, number of citations per faculty, total number of scientific publications, total number of scientific publications per faculty, number of Ph.D. students, percentage of Ph.D. students and number of students per faculty.
