Prof. Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, President of International Islamic University Malaysia, and a committee from the university visited Sakarya University.
Prof. Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin and SAU President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas signed a collaboration agreement for Mevlana Exchange Program. Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Kamaruddin visited Technocity, Campus Mosque and the library. Professor stated that 24-hour service of library and mosque is praiseworthy. Professor was also informed about Middle East Research Centre, Women Research Centre and Finance Centre.
After visiting the campus, Professor attended the conference held at Culture and Congress Centre. In her speech, Professor stated that a university has both societal and social aspects. Professor said university in Islam has some underlying permanent features but contains principles that allows for transformation and adaptation.
In her speech, Professor talked about the concepts of Muslim women and Islamic University. Professor said prerequisites for transformation of higher education include firm foundations, practical goal-oriented vision, clear strategy and efficient processes.
